Suggests giving money to ministries based on how well they perform.

Every rupee of public money must be used wisely for the progress and welfare of the nation.

ISLAMABAD:
On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that government money should be used for development projects that show real and clear results.

He led a meeting to check the current year’s development spending and new project ideas for the next year’s government development plan, according to the PM’s office.

In the meeting, the prime minister said that ministries that perform better will get more money for development projects.

He stated that water storage and hydropower were key government development priorities. He emphasized that projects to improve water storage would be highly prioritized.

The prime minister was happy with how the railway, tech, and power departments were doing. He told officials to get businesses and the government to work together on development projects.

The meeting attendees were updated on the current development program’s progress. They also received information about upcoming projects and the necessary funding for the next year.

The relevant authorities shared progress reports on important nationwide water storage and hydroelectric power projects, such as the Dasu, Diamer-Bhasha, and Mohmand Dams.

The Prime Minister also led a meeting with Pakistan’s ambassadors to Iran and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at his office.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Ahad Khan Cheema (Minister for Economic Affairs Division), Dr. Syed Tauqir Shah (Advisor to the Prime Minister), Syed Tariq Fatemi (Special Assistant to the Prime Minister), and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, were also in attendance.

In the meeting, the ambassadors updated the leader on how the two countries are doing together, new chances, and problems in their countries.

We talked about making our economic connections with other countries stronger, boosting trade and investments, money sent home by workers abroad, and the Pakistani people living in other countries.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the GCC countries and Iran are historically, economically, and strategically important to Pakistan’s foreign policy.
