Iran’s military says they attacked an Amazon data center in Bahrain.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Friday that it sent drones to attack the US-used Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The attack killed or hurt many US soldiers. This happened after earlier attacks on three camps where US forces stay in the country.
In a statement, the IRGC said advanced.
It said the attack also destroyed six places where people sleep and badly damaged three others, leaving many US soldiers dead or hurt.
The Kuwaiti and US sides did not say anything right away about the attack or report any deaths or damage.
The Iranian army said earlier that it sent drone attacks on three places where US forces stay in Kuwait, as reported by the Iranian semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
In a statement, the army said “Arash” attack drones hit US military equipment storage at Camp Udairi, and also US soldier positions at the Doha and Arifjan camps.
The army said it would keep doing strong drone and missile attacks, and warned that “any risky actions or starting a new fight” would be like repeating US “big mistakes.”
Iran’s Guards say they attacked an Amazon data center in Bahrain
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Friday they attacked a data center in Bahrain owned by US tech company Amazon, state media reported.
The forces “targeted and destroyed the intelligence data center building of the American company Amazon, which plays a big role in providing information for the American child-killing army,” they said in a statement shown on state TV.
Amazon and Bahraini officials have not said anything yet about Iran’s statements.
The Guards, which are the military’s ideological group, also said on Wednesday that they attacked the data center.
Iran says that any place or base in the Middle East used by the US military to attack Iran is a fair target for revenge strikes.
US attack hits Revolutionary Guards navy base in northern Iran
A US attack hit an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy base in Zibakenar, northern Iran, on Friday, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.
The Gilan local government said the Hazrat Seyyed al-Shohada base in the coastal town was hit in the attack.
No deaths or injuries have been reported yet, based on early checks, it added.
Iranian officials say the US attacked the city of Piranshahr from the air
Iran’s West Azerbaijan crisis management group said a place in Piranshahr city, near the Iraq border, was hit by a US air attack at about 9am (10:30 PKT), as reported by the semi-official Fars News Agency and Al Jazeera.
Several cars were damaged in the Friday attack, the group said, adding that there are no numbers yet for how many people were killed or hurt.
US attacks killed 55 people, says Iran’s health ministry
On Friday, Iran’s Health Ministry told Fars news that the number of people hurt in recent US airstrikes in Iran went up to 645, and 55 people died.
Most of the hurt and dead people were in Khuzestan province in the southwest, followed by Hormozgan and Sistan-Baluchestan provinces in the south.
Out of all the hurt people, 586 have left the hospital after getting treatment, and some others got care without staying overnight. Eight people are still in the hospital, and some need more surgeries.
Sweden’s top diplomat criticizes Houthi attacks on the Red Sea
Sweden said it strongly disagrees with the Houthi group’s threats to Saudi Arabia and their attacks on ships in the Red Sea, as reported by Al Jazeera.
Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard wrote that they strongly condemn these threats and attacks.
She added that keeping the sea safe and allowing ships to move freely is very important for the region’s stability and world trade, and must be done according to international rules.
This came after Yemen’s Houthi group, which is backed by Iran, said they would block the sea to Saudi Arabia. They also attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea on July 22 with drones and missiles, setting one on fire. This happened after the Houthis threatened to stop ships from passing through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
Explosions and smoke were seen near Iraq’s Erbil airport
On Friday, several explosions happened near Erbil airport. The airport has US-led coalition troops in Iraq’s self-ruled Kurdistan area, an AFP reporter said.
The reporter heard explosions after air defense systems were turned on. They also saw drones flying over the city and smoke coming from the airport area.
Since fighting started again in the Middle East, drones have been stopped many times over Erbil. There is also a big US consulate building there.
Iran tells countries not to help the US in attacks
Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said on Friday that Iran will make any country that helps the United States attack Iran answer for its actions.
He said, ‘Any country that takes part, works with, or helps in an attack on Iran will be held responsible under international law.’ He added that Iran ‘keeps the right to use all necessary steps to defend itself.’
Iran’s foreign minister says using Iran’s frozen money sets a dangerous example
Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi posted on X on Friday that “taking another country’s money to pay for future problems that are not connected is a very dangerous example” after Trump threatened to make Iran pay for any “harm caused” to cargo ships.
He said that when governments make it normal to take people’s money, no one’s money is safe. He said this after US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. He added that the trouble that follows will not be nice or calm.
On social media, Trump said that any damage to cargo ships would be paid for with “Iranian Money.” He meant the frozen Iranian money that the US has, but he did not explain how.
Iran’s army says it attacked US military bases in Bahrain and Jordan with drones
On early Friday, Iran’s army said it used drones to hit US military places in Bahrain and Jordan.
The state TV reported that ‘Arash’ drones targeted fuel tanks, big equipment storage, hangars, and sleeping areas for US soldiers at Sheikh Isa Air Base.
They also said aircraft hangars, repair buildings, and sleeping areas for US soldiers at Al-Azraq Air Base were hit.
Just before Iran said something, Bahrain set off a warning alarm and told people to stay calm and go to the closest safe place. This news came from Bahrain’s Interior Ministry on the US social media site X.
Iran’s warning said, ‘Any action against the real and legal rights of the Iranian people and Iran will also hurt the safety and money interests of other countries in the area.’
There was no quick confirmation from the US, Bahrain, or Jordan about the reported attacks, and no one said anyone was hurt or anything was damaged right away.
Data shows the number of tanker crossings at Hormuz has fallen to its lowest in two months
Al Jazeera says tracking data shows only one tanker went through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday. This is the lowest number since May 7.
The oil tanker New Giant left the strait yesterday and will reach China’s Rizhao port by mid-August, according to Kpler data.
No ships entered the Strait of Hormuz on July 23.

Trump said he would give ‘big military punishment’ to Iran and its Houthi friends after the Yemen fighters hit two Saudi oil ships in the Red Sea. This spread the Middle East war to another important shipping area.

Trump says Iran has not suffered enough yet
After the Houthis said they hit the two oil ships on Thursday, Trump said he would blame Iran for any more attacks by the fighters.
The Houthis, who control north and west Yemen, said they were blocking Saudi Arabia by sea. Saudi Arabia has moved millions of barrels of oil each day through a pipeline to the Red Sea to avoid Iran’s blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
“If they do this again, the US will blame Iran, because the Houthis are a helper or agent of Iran. Big military punishment will be given to Iran and, of course, the Houthis themselves,” Trump wrote on social media.
He told Axios he was thinking about starting big fights in Iran again and was almost ready to decide.
‘They haven’t suffered enough yet,’ the news outlet said Trump told them.
People in Iran and Yemen told Reuters that Iran had sent Revolutionary Guard leaders, military helpers, and missile and drone gear to Yemen a few days before the Houthis said they were blocking ships. The Houthis said the report was not true.
The Houthis said their fighters hit Saudi oil ships, the Encelia and the Layla, with missiles and drones.
A sea security source said the Encelia sent a help signal that it was hit by a missile near the Saudi port of Jizan in the Red Sea, just north of Yemen, on Wednesday. Saudi state news agency SPA said the attack caused a fire at the front of the ship.
Reuters could not quickly check the attack on the Layla, or other battle reports, but Trump talked about two attacks on Saudi oil ships.
On Thursday, shipping insurance costs through the southern Red Sea doubled for some companies after the reported attacks, sources said.
Houthi attacks could block the strait called Bab el-Mandeb or “Gate of Tears,” which controls access from the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean. This is the second most important route for energy shipments after the Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Gulf.
Since they started their blockade in the Red Sea, some tankers have changed their path to avoid the Bab el-Mandeb.
Instead, they go north through the Suez Canal, which might mean taking a longer and more costly route to reach Asian customers by going around Africa.
On Thursday, ship tracking data showed that only one tanker crossed the Strait of Hormuz, which is the lowest number since May 7.
Iran says it attacked Jordan and Kuwait
Iran said it attacked US missile systems, weapons, and fuel storage sites in Jordan, and US military posts in Kuwait.
Jordan’s army said it fought four Iranian missiles and six drones yesterday, stopping all but one missile, which landed in an empty area.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they hit a US electronic warfare unit at Al-Adiri base in Kuwait, causing unknown injuries, in reply to a night attack on Iran’s Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq.
The US and Kuwait say no soldiers hurt at their base.
Iran’s army spokesperson, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, said on Iran’s state TV that Iran will keep attacking back as long as the US keeps hitting its buildings and beaches.
Since the US and Israel started the war in February, Iran showed it can hit US targets nearby, even though Trump said early on that the US had destroyed Iran’s military power.
Four people who know about US intelligence said that earlier in the war, Iran attacked CIA targets in the Gulf, which made US intelligence look into whether Russia was helping Iran with targeting information or drone tech.
Congress
High oil prices are causing prices to go up around the world. This puts pressure on Trump’s Republican friends before the November elections for Congress.
On Thursday, the Republican-controlled US House of Representatives supported a law that tells Trump to stop US military actions against Iran. This is the latest criticism from Congress, which has the sole power to declare war according to the US Constitution.
Similar resolutions have been passed in recent months but have not stopped the war. A few hours later, the Senate voted to block a different, similar measure.
