KARACHI:
Ali Zafar, who sings, acts, and creates art, has launched a beautiful music video for his song ‘Shiddat’ from his ‘Roshni’ album. The video uses AI to turn a painting he made in 2002 into a movie-like experience.
This artwork, made while he was getting his degree at the National College of Arts, is the heart of the video’s feelings and look. Fawaz Rehan and Ayelah Asim directed the project, which uses AI to bring the painted world to life, mixing art with music and digital stories.
This video looks at love, missing someone, memories, and feeling alone. It feels like you’re inside a strange, moving painting. AI created every image while trying to keep the old painting’s original feel.
About the project, Ali Zafar mentioned that art stays special because its meaning always shifts with personal growth and how people see it. He shared that he painted the picture used in ‘Shiddat’ when he was an art student, way before his music and movie career.
Zafar said he was immediately interested in the idea of entering the painting’s world when the directors told him about it. He explained, ‘This video shows their take on the artwork, combined with one of the most powerful songs from my album, ‘Roshni’.
This release is a very big visual project for Ali Zafar, linking his roles as an artist, musician, and narrator. It also shows how AI is becoming more important in today’s art and music.
