The Pakistan Army team, representing the Pakistan Military Academy, won first place at the 2026 International Pacesticking Competition in Sandhurst, UK, according to a military statement on Friday.
The military’s public relations office (ISPR) reported that the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) team won every major prize in the competition. They took home the overall trophy, as well as awards for Best Pace Sticker and Best Driver.
The nine-member Pakistani group, led by Major Haider Gulzar, arrived in the UK on June 5, 2026.
The ISPR said 16 international army teams took part in the intense yearly competition.
The statement concluded that the Pakistan Army’s win shows the high level of training, skill, and hard work of the Pakistani military.
On May 6, the Pakistan Army announced that cadet Sardar Arsam Abbas was named the ‘best foreign military cadet’ by Australia’s Royal Military College (RMC).
According to the military, Abbas received this top honor during a graduation ceremony held in Canberra on May 5, 2026.
“This award goes to the top foreign military student who excelled in every part of their training. It shows the great professionalism, dedication, and excellence shown by the Pakistan Army’s junior leaders,” the statement said.
