Security forces stopped a suicide bomber from attacking a military post in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They killed the attacker before he reached the post, according to security sources on Monday.
Security sources reported that Khawarij terrorists tried to attack a military post. Security forces stopped them and destroyed their bomb-filled car before it reached the post.
Security sources say the attacker was stopped before reaching the post. At least seven people were hurt in the prevented suicide attack.
Dr. Jan Mohammad, the top doctor, said the injured people were taken to the main hospital in Wana.
After the event, security closed off the area and started searching, according to security sources.
Since the Afghan Taliban took control in Afghanistan in 2021, Pakistan has experienced a big rise in terrorist attacks coming from across the border, especially in the provinces of KP and Balochistan.

Pakistan started Operation Ghazab lil-Haq in February. This happened after Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to stop fighting in October 2025. The fighting started when the Afghan Taliban shot at the border without being provoked.
Even after many discussions, the two countries haven’t agreed because the Afghan Taliban government is unwilling to stop terrorists using their land.
