Aleema Khan denies reports of a meeting between Imran Khan and former army chief at Adiala Jail.

Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, said on Monday that social media reports were wrong. These reports claimed a former army chief had visited Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.

On X, Aleema said that reports about a former army chief visiting Imran Khan in jail are false. She claimed these rumors are being spread to distract people from the poor conditions in which Imran is being held.

Aleema also said that the PTI founder has many problems while in jail, such as difficulty seeing doctors and talking to his family. She stated, “He cannot get the right eye treatment in a real hospital.”

She also claimed that the former leader is not allowed to talk to his sons, has not been able to read books for six months, and cannot watch TV or contact anyone outside, except for brief meetings with lawyers allowed by the court.

She also claimed that the former leader is not allowed to talk to his sons or read books. For the past six months, he has had no TV and no contact with the outside world, except for brief meetings with his lawyers allowed by the court.

Aleema mentioned a court decision where a group of judges granted regular visitation rights. This includes allowed visits from family, lawyers, and representatives on certain days. She argued that Imran has a legal right to these visits under both Pakistani and international laws.

She spoke after social media rumors suggested that the PTI founder met with a former army chief at Adiala Jail, where he is currently imprisoned.

Imran and Bushra Bibi have been in Adiala Jail since 2023. On December 20, 2025, they were sentenced to 17 years in prison for the Toshakhana-II case. This case involves claims that the couple illegally kept a Bulgari jewelry set gifted by the Saudi crown prince during an official visit.

Imran’s sons, Kasim and Suleiman, are not allowed to talk to their father on the phone. They also claim their visa applications are being purposely delayed. The two boys live in the UK with Imran’s ex-wife, Jemima Goldsmith.

In February, a report by lawyer Salman Safdar, requested by the Supreme Court, showed that Imran told officials his right eye only works at 15% capacity. Safdar gave this report to a two-judge court.

Imran’s sisters and party leaders regularly protest outside Adiala Jail on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These are the official days for meetings with Imran, but these visits have mostly stopped lately.
