Cairo meeting praises Pakistan for helping mediate and supports following the agreements made in the Islamabad MoU.

R-4 foreign ministers gather in Islamabad to support the US-Iran agreement and discuss regional peace, stability, and diplomatic cooperation.

On Sunday, foreign ministers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkiye met in Cairo. They agreed to keep working together to maintain peace and stability. They also welcomed a new agreement signed between the United States and Iran.

During the meeting, leaders Ishaq Dar, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Hakan Fidan, and Dr. Badr Abdelatty discussed important global and regional issues.

The Foreign Office said that foreign ministers met in Cairo because Egypt invited them.

The statement noted that the ministers thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for sharing his ideas on how to help bring peace and stability to the Middle East.

The meeting allowed the group to discuss regional and global issues. They agreed that the four countries must keep working together to maintain peace, security, and stability in the Middle East and beyond.

The ministers also welcomed the recent agreement between the U.S. and Iran, calling it a major step toward reducing regional tensions.

The minister said this progress is a good step toward reducing tension and ending a conflict that threatened regional safety, energy prices, shipping routes, and global trade.

They also praised the international groups that helped reach this agreement and emphasized that all sides must follow through on their promises.

The foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia also thanked Pakistan for helping reach the agreement and thanked Qatar for its support during the talks.

The meeting showed that we must listen to the worries of nearby countries, especially about keeping the Gulf Arab states and the Levant safe and stable.

The ministers said that keeping the region secure must be the main goal when working together to build long-term peace.

The ministers stated that solving the Palestinian issue is essential for peace and stability in the Middle East. They emphasized that the Palestinian cause is key to achieving a fair and lasting peace in the region.

They also focused specifically on the humanitarian and political problems in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.

The ministers repeated their support for the Palestinian people’s rights. They stated that Palestinians should have the right to govern themselves and create an independent state. This state should be based on the borders from 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement added that an independent Palestinian state is necessary to reach a fair and lasting peace in the region, following United Nations rules.

Ministers from four regional countries meet with the Egyptian president

Dar also joined the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt for a call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. They discussed regional news and promised to work together for peace and stability, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the call, the deputy prime minister shared warm greetings from the country’s top leaders.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Deputy Prime Minister passed on warm greetings from Pakistan’s leaders to President El-Sisi. He also confirmed that Pakistan is dedicated to strengthening its long and friendly relationship with Egypt in many different areas.

The foreign minister praised the growing relationship between the two countries and welcomed President El-Sisi’s decision to visit Pakistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that recent meetings between high-level officials from Pakistan and Egypt have helped strengthen their bond.

He hoped that the leaders of both countries could meet as soon as it is convenient for both sides.

According to the statement, the meeting allowed them to discuss global events, especially the situation in the Middle East, focusing on the need for talk, diplomacy, and reducing tension.

President El-Sisi returned the greetings and thanked Pakistan for helping with regional diplomacy.

He praised Pakistan for its responsible work in encouraging talk and reducing tension in the area. He also commended Pakistan’s leaders for their efforts to keep the region peaceful and stable.

He hoped that continued talks and new negotiations would bring long-term peace, safety, and wealth to the whole region.

The leaders also talked about meetings held between Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.

The statement said they highlighted how the R-4 is becoming an important way for countries to talk, plan, and work together on shared issues.

They believe that continuing this cooperation will help bring more peace, stability, and economic growth to the region.

Afterward, Ishaq Dar met with Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during the R-4 meeting. They discussed the relationship between their two countries and current events in the region.

According to a statement, both ministers looked at all areas of their cooperation and were happy that the bond between Pakistan and Egypt is growing stronger.

They promised to work even more closely together on politics, economy, defense, health, and global issues. They also agreed to improve how they cooperate.

Both sides discussed regional news, especially in the Middle East, and expressed support for a new peace agreement.

The statement added that they welcomed the new peace agreement and hoped it would bring long-term peace, stability, and wealth to the area.

The meeting ended with both sides confirming their strong and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Egypt.

Dar says US-Iran talks have made big progress

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dar said that talks between the US and Iran have made a lot of progress.

During an interview in Cairo, Dar said he believes both sides will eventually reach a final deal.

He said the next round of talks between the U.S. and Iran would be harder.

Dar mentioned they agreed to lower Iran’s nuclear material levels and both sides agreed that talking is the best way to solve the problem.

He also stated that there will be no fees for passing through or using services in the Strait of Hormuz for the next 60 days.

Dar added that three expert teams are currently in Switzerland to talk about Iran’s nuclear program, its frozen money, and the situation in Lebanon.

US and Iranian officials are meeting in Switzerland to talk. This follows a signed agreement on Wednesday to end months of fighting in the Middle East and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The meetings in Burgenstock are led by US Vice President JD Vance and Iranian leaders Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi, with Pakistan helping to mediate.
