Shafi Jan says Achakzai might lead protests.

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan said that PTI doctors and other party groups are protesting. They are demanding that PTI founder Imran Khan be released immediately and that he and his wife, Bushra Bibi, receive proper medical care.
At a press conference held by the Insaf Doctors Forum, Shafi Jan and Health Minister Mian Khaliqur Rehman announced that the party has let Mahmood Khan Achakzai decide how the protest movement will continue.
“We will support him completely whenever he tells us to block roads or start a long march,” Shafi Jan said.
The minister stated that Imran Khan and his wife are being punished for standing up for people’s rights by being denied proper medical care. He said Khan has had an eye problem for four months, and one eye has not healed yet. Even so, he is not allowed to see his own doctors, and the government is not giving the public honest updates about his health.
“We want the government to move former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his sick wife, Bushra Bibi, to Shaafa International Hospital right away so they can get full medical care,” he said.
Shafi Jan also blamed the government’s economic plans. He noted that while the US and Israel attacked Iran, Pakistan’s leaders used the situation to raise petrol prices suddenly, stealing money from the public to help a small group of people.
He drew a comparison with the treatment meted out to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during PTI’s tenure, stating that even though Nawaz Sharif was imprisoned, he was provided all facilities. Around 150 people visited him daily, Maryam was allowed regular meetings, and her barrack was located near his.
