A fencing coach from Kenya and an assistant coach from Japan were taken to the hospital for treatment.

During the World Para Athletics Championship in New Delhi, India, stray dogs attacked two coaches from different countries. Dennis Mwanzu, a fencing coach from Kenya, and Meiko Otomatsu, an assistant coach from Japan, were hurt in the attack.
Indian news reports say the incident happened Friday morning while they were warming up.
The Kenyan coach suffered a bleeding leg wound caused by the dog bites, according to Indian media reports. Both coaches were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where they received initial medical treatment.
Authorities haven’t commented on what happened or said how they’ll stop future attacks. The 2025 World Para Athletics Championship will be in New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from September 27 to October 5. Over 1,000 athletes will compete in various events at this 12th World Para Athletics Championships.
