A 26-year-old fashion student is the first woman from the UAE to compete in Miss Universe.
Mariam Mohamed, a 26-year-old fashion student, will represent the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Miss Universe competition.

“The UAE has given me the confidence to dream big,” she said. “I want to be a voice for women who are ambitious, curious, and driven. Miss Universe UAE is not just about beauty, it is about impact.”
Mariam has a degree in economics from the University of Sydney and is now studying fashion design in Dubai. She connects education, art, and helping others.
Mariam says her goal is to fight poverty and help women.
She designs clothes that don’t harm the environment and takes part in charity work like Ramadan Aman and The Giving Family Initiative
. She also represents the UAE in global programs for women in business.
Mariam loves both old and new things, like falconry and camels, as well as eco-friendly fashion and meeting people from other countries.
She mixes tradition with modern ideas, showing the UAE’s values with kindness and strength.
Mariam is getting ready for the Miss Universe 2025 contest. She wants to inspire young women in the UAE. She plans to share the UAE’s message of progress, environmental care, and new ideas with the world
. Mohamed is only the second Miss Universe UAE. Last year, Emilia Dobreva, a model from Kosovo who lives in Dubai, was Miss Universe UAE.
Miss Universe UAE said that Mohamed will “show the world that the UAE is making progress, caring for the environment and developing new ideas, proving that women from the UAE respect their traditions but are also leaders for the future.”
